ClickSling and digital asset management
Is ClickSling a DAM system?
ClickSling provides many of the capabilities that multi-location organizations actually need from a DAM, but it is intentionally simpler than a traditional digital asset management system. It focuses on helping local users quickly find and use the right approved marketing materials rather than providing every possible DAM feature.
What is a DAM system?
A digital asset management (DAM) system is software used to organize, store, manage, retrieve, and distribute digital assets such as logos, images, videos, documents, templates, and brand materials. Large DAM systems can also include workflows, permissions, metadata, versioning, integrations, approvals, and other enterprise capabilities.
Does a franchise organization need a DAM system?
Not necessarily. A large organization with complex asset libraries, workflows, rights management, and global requirements may need a full DAM. A franchise organization whose primary need is getting current, approved marketing materials into the hands of franchisees may benefit from a simpler system such as ClickSling.
What is a simpler alternative to a traditional DAM system?
For organizations that do not need the complexity of a full enterprise DAM, ClickSling provides a simpler alternative focused on distributing approved marketing materials across multiple locations. It removes many of the features, folder structures, training requirements, and administrative complexity associated with traditional DAM platforms.
Franchise and multi-location marketing
What is franchise marketing software?
Franchise marketing software helps a franchisor manage marketing across independently operated franchise locations while maintaining brand consistency. Depending on the system, it can provide approved advertising, social media materials, brand resources, promotional materials, and other tools franchisees need for local marketing.
What is a franchise marketing portal?
A franchise marketing portal is a central place where franchisees can access marketing resources supplied or approved by the franchisor. A well-designed portal makes it easy for local operators to find current materials without searching through complicated folder structures or determining which asset version is correct.
How does ClickSling help franchisees?
ClickSling reduces the amount of searching, learning, and decision-making required of franchisees. Corporate marketing determines what is approved and available, while franchisees get a simple way to access the materials they need.
How does ClickSling help franchisors?
ClickSling gives franchisors centralized control over the marketing materials available to local locations. Corporate teams determine what franchisees can access while keeping brand resources, advertising, social content, POP materials, and branded merchandise organized and current.
Brand consistency and corporate control
How does ClickSling help maintain brand consistency across multiple locations?
ClickSling allows corporate marketing to control the materials made available to local users. Instead of asking each location to determine which logo, advertisement, image, or promotional asset is correct, corporate determines the approved choices in advance.
How does ClickSling help prevent outdated marketing materials from being used?
ClickSling is designed around corporate-controlled availability. Local users access the materials corporate has made current and available rather than searching through libraries containing numerous historical or obsolete versions.
How does ClickSling simplify version control?
ClickSling reduces the need for local users to manage version control themselves. Corporate marketing controls which assets are available, so local users are not expected to sort through multiple versions of logos, advertisements, brand materials, or promotional content to determine which one is current.
How does ClickSling help manage brand standards?
ClickSling puts approved brand resources and marketing materials where local users can easily access them. This helps translate corporate brand standards into the actual materials used at the local level rather than relying solely on employees or franchisees to interpret a lengthy brand-standards document.
Can corporate marketing control what local users see in ClickSling?
Yes. ClickSling is based on a corporate-controlled model. The organization determines which approved resources and marketing choices are available to its local users.
Can franchisees create anything they want in ClickSling?
No. ClickSling is intentionally designed around approved choices rather than unrestricted local creation. Corporate controls the available materials so local marketing can remain fast while staying within the brand.
How ClickSling works

ClickSling’s five core functions are Social Media, Advertising, Brand Resources, In-Store POP, and Branded SWAG. Product art and imagery are included within Brand Resources.
Does ClickSling use folders like traditional DAM systems?
ClickSling is intentionally designed to minimize the folder-tree experience commonly associated with large asset libraries. The objective is to help users get to the right approved resource quickly rather than requiring them to understand how a complex asset repository is organized.

ClickSling is designed to be intuitive enough that formal user training is not required. There is no separate ClickSling training fee.
How long does ClickSling take to implement?
ClickSling is designed to avoid the lengthy implementation process associated with many enterprise marketing systems. There is no separate ClickSling implementation fee. Actual setup time depends on the organization and the materials it chooses to make available.
Pricing and licensing

How many locations can use ClickSling?
ClickSling supports organizations ranging from a few locations to more than 100. Published tiers cover 1–10, 11–25, and 26–100 locations, with custom pricing available for organizations with more than 100 locations.

Published Perpetual License pricing is $5,000 for 1–10 locations, $8,500 for 11–25 locations, and $17,000 for 26–100 locations. Organizations with more than 100 locations should contact ClickSling for custom pricing.
Free trial
Does ClickSling offer a free trial?
Yes. ClickSling offers a 30-day free trial. No credit card is required to begin the trial, and the trial does not automatically convert into a paid plan. A customer must affirmatively choose a paid option to continue with paid ClickSling service.
ClickSling compared with a traditional DAM
What is the difference between multi-location marketing software and a DAM?
A traditional DAM primarily manages digital assets and can include extensive metadata, permissions, workflows, rights management, integrations, and asset-management capabilities. Multi-location marketing software focuses more directly on helping a central organization provide approved marketing resources to individual locations. ClickSling is designed for organizations whose needs are closer to the second problem.
Why would a company choose ClickSling instead of a larger DAM platform?
A company may choose ClickSling when its primary problem is not managing an enormous enterprise asset ecosystem, but making sure local users can quickly access and use current, approved marketing materials. ClickSling intentionally prioritizes simplicity, speed, corporate control, and ease of local use over the breadth of features found in traditional enterprise DAM systems.
Still deciding whether ClickSling fits your organization? Start with do you really need a DAM?, or try it yourself — the trial is 30 days and takes no credit card.
