The trail’s been long, but the ride’s been great.

I’ve spent my career at the intersection of big ideas and bold execution. From creating award-winning advertising for some of the world’s most recognized brands at agencies like McCann, Ogilvy, and D’Arcy, to earning the prestigious H.K. McCann Award and creating Super Bowl commercials, I’ve had the privilege of working at the highest levels of the advertising industry. Along the way, I founded a marketing technology company, raised nearly $30 million in investment capital, and successfully exited in 2016.

But through all those years, one thing never sat right with me: the businesses that need great advertising the most are often the ones that can least afford it. A neighborhood restaurant deserves the same creative firepower as a national chain. A local entrepreneur deserves more than a template and a prayer.

When artificial intelligence began demonstrating its extraordinary potential, I saw something beyond the technology. I saw an opportunity to take everything I’d learned over decades in advertising—how to think strategically, develop compelling ideas, build brands, and create advertising that actually works—and translate that knowledge into an intelligent virtual agency staff.

Not simply AI tools that generate content, but a team built around the thinking, experience, and creative disciplines of a real advertising agency. That’s why I created ClickSling. Not because the world needed another software platform, but because technology had finally made it possible to deliver something that had never been practical before: the knowledge, creative firepower, and capabilities of an experienced advertising agency, available to virtually any business owner.

ClickSling is the culmination of everything I’ve learned in advertising, everything I’ve built in technology, and one simple belief: great advertising shouldn’t be a privilege reserved for companies with great big budgets.

David Farmer began his advertising career in 1981, deep in the creative bowels of the business. Through a series of calculated moves from agency to agency, he worked his way from the trenches to the highest level a creative can reach in the advertising industry, developing along the way a particular talent for winning new business.
